John You (b. 1999) is a visual artist based in Australia.

Through a research-intensive approach to his design practice, informed by the esoteric and the language of signs and symbols, he explores the profound connections between the unconscious mind, the divine, and contemporary systems of power and technology.

He articulates this understanding into a visual logic that communicates to the subconscious of the consumer across film, fashion, product, and graphical works.

In direction and research - understanding and capturing an artist and/or a project’s essence beneath the surface, simplifying it and attuning it to be amplified to the world.

Involving a much deeper and visceral process, akin closest to spirituality, assists artists to evolve into the demands their current body of work requires - helping shape their understanding of the world, the invisible fabric of reality and fostering a stronger connection to the unconscious.

Current graphical works produced as non-commercial artworks explore themes around the relationship between family history, human connection and the ‘higher self’ in connection to modern life.
